The purpose of the group is to allow U3a members who have experience of rock climbing, or those interested in the activity, to be able to participate together in a controlled space.  Meets will take place at commercial climbing walls where top roping, bouldering and lead climbing are available.

Typical wall costs are £12.50 per session; equipment hire is also possible. Initially we intend to Use the Big Depot wall in S Manchester, but there are others available locally. From the point of safety Climbing Centres will insist upon initial induction/assessment and this will be carried out by their staff.
