Anyone's early New Years resolution to read more?
We are looking for some new members to join our elite reading group. Each month we all individually choose a book on a particular subject and then we informally discuss the reasons we liked ( or didn't like the book). Sometimes we swop/ lend out books to other members.
I particularly like the group as it widens my horizons from just reading crime books. The group is also really friendly, and its a good choice to dip your toes into a new subject.
This month we all chose books by Irish, Welsh or Scottish authors.
Next meeting we'll be discussing subjects for the next year. Contact the leader if you'd like a free taster visit. -

| ANYONE INTERESTED IN RAILWAYS? |
The Steam Railway group would like to welcome new members in 2026. We normally have videos of steam on the main line or preserved railways with occasional forays into modern railway working like HS2. We have members and outside speakers presentations on various topics.
We meet at the Maybury Centre, Crewe on the corner of West Street/Bright Street at 7pm on the second Thursday of the month. Why not join us for a FREE trial session.
